The blood bay stallion standing over her like a protective shadow arched his neck, blowing a tender breath to warm his sweetheart's crest, and Llorona sighed; her beloved mate and sire to the foal that was making her belly bulge so richly was trying to comfort her as best he knew, and his presence helped; but this would not be easy. She cast her eyes upon the ground, away from the opulently colored heavens, the saffrons and pinks that were heralds to the night, and away from the lovely mare whose pelt was akin to the depths of twilight, taking a deep breath. Gathering the strength... to remember. `A story you have asked of me, oh lonely traveler, and one I shall not refuse to give you; tis of a pair of star-crossed lovers, whose affection shall burn for ever brightly... `
